Attention, attention
An international Leelah group opens, based on drama therapy methods

Leelah for Peace

Leelah is a dramatherapy group that serves as a social laboratory. Through the connections formed among group members, we overcome personal difficulties and blockages. The sense of belonging that develops in the group allows us to dive into complex relationships and meet them in playfulness.

Leelah is a play technique without an audience in which the participants do not perform! Through mindfulness practice, we will concentrate on the character we are playing. Beyond concentration, there is no need for any acting skills.

Leelah is a light, flowing group that, at the same time, allows us to deepen and re-examine ourselves. The community that is created fosters feelings of ease and security, enabling fruitful tension with shame and strangeness. Leelah's language flows, simple and accessible to everyone, especially those with no prior experience.

For further reading

  • Who is the group suitable for? The group is intended for any soul who is willing and curious to undergo a significant and creative emotional process; no acting skills or previous experience are required.

  • What happens in the meetings? This is a fascinating, long-term and narrative developmental group process. The workspace is entirely a playful experience; the process unfolds through free and healing role-play.

  • What tools does the practice give? We will focus on the Leelah model and experience additional models, such as playback theatre, and others from the world of drama therapy.

  • What is Leelah anyway? Additional academic materials are available here. You can also experience introductory evenings.

Leelah for Peace is a group that examines how a social structure addresses inherent, archaic conflicts. That is, instead of directly discussing wars and political conflicts, we will experience them firsthand through Leelah's characters. We will bring the message of Peace by creating inner Peace in the dramatic space.
Similar to Buddhist terms: Hinayana, the "small chariot" - which focuses on personal responsibility for liberation (nirvana) and Mahayana, the "great chariot" - which focuses on social responsibility for liberation; thus, Leelah will deal, within the dramatic reality framework, with personal and collective responsibility.
