Open Session with Leelah

The best way to get to know Leelah is from within

An open session is an invitation to step briefly into the world of Leelah: to meet character, group, play and a live process — and to sense how such a space begins to take shape.

What Happens During the Session?

The session includes a short live experience in the spirit of Leelah, followed by a conversation with Dov about the method and the possible ways to continue.

In the first part, we enter a gentle experience through character, imagination, play and presence within a group. This is not a performance, and no acting experience or preparation is needed.

Afterwards, there will be time for conversation and questions: what Leelah is, what a long-term process looks like, and what the difference is between the Annual Leelah Group and the Training & Deepening Program.

The town is calling...

You can arrive without knowing in advance where it will lead — simply to meet the language, the group and Dov, and sense whether it speaks to you.

After the session, it becomes easier to understand which path may be right for you: the Annual Leelah Group, for those who wish to take part in a personal group process through play and character; or the Training & Deepening Program, for those who wish to learn Leelah as a professional language for working with groups.

If you cannot attend an open session, you are welcome to contact Dov directly for an introductory conversation.

FAQ

Do I Need Acting Experience?

Not at all. The session is based on presence, imagination, listening and relationship — not on performance or theatrical ability.

Is the session only for people who want to learn facilitation?

No. The session is suitable both for people who come out of personal curiosity and want to meet Leelah as a space for personal and group process, and for those interested in the Training & Deepening Program.

Does the session require registration for a group or program?

No. The session is meant for introduction, experience and a sense of fit.
Those who wish to continue can schedule a conversation with Dov and explore which path suits them best: the Annual Leelah Group or the Training & Deepening Program.

What is the difference between the Annual Leelah Group and the Training & Deepening Program?

The Annual Leelah Group is for those who wish to take part in a personal and group process through play, character and an imagined world.

The Training & Deepening Program is for those who wish to learn Leelah as a professional language: to study the theory, observe the process, work with case studies and develop facilitation skills.

Participants Share Their Experience of Leelah

I signed up for the workshop out of curiosity, and I’m very glad I did. Dov led us into a story in his own unique way. The experience was powerful and meaningful, and I felt very safe — that there was someone I could trust.

Thank you for a pleasant, generous, and special time, and for the opportunity to simply be. I would be happy to stay in touch and receive updates about future sessions.

Ruth Amir, Leelah session participant

I’ve been processing what happened yesterday. At first, when you spoke and explained Leelah, I felt that I both understood and didn’t understand, agreed and disagreed.

During the “play,” I felt confusion and embarrassment, but I chose to stay with it. I still didn’t fully understand what had happened — and then, the next morning, a few insights came to me.

I realized how much I shrink myself in everyday life into a certain character I think I’m supposed to perform. I’m so fixed in that character that it blocks my passion and my creativity.

In Leelah, perhaps we are not really “playing” — we are waking up to who we are beyond the definitions, patterns, and judgments we carry about ourselves, and beyond the inner voices we have internalized.

Maybe in life itself, in our everyday lives, we are playing a character we believe is who we are. And that character no longer serves me — or us.
